Chicken & NOT Dumplings
This recipe was submitted by CC Wife Heather A. She has added her own flare to it, and we hope you enjoy it!
What You Need:
1 medium onion
2 chicken breasts
1 can cream of chicken
1 can cream of celery
16 oz chicken broth
1/2 tbls parsley
1/2 tbls poultry seasoning
Salt and pepper to taste
12 oz mixed veggies (frozen or fresh)
12 biscuits (frozen, canned, homemade)
Directions:
Chop the onion and toss it in the crockpot.
Add chicken breast on top of the onions.
Add cream soups (all of them).
Sprinkle in your seasonings, add chicken broth, and mix.
Cook on high for 4 hours.
Add veggies and mix.
Continue cooking on high for 1 hour.
Shred your chicken and mix it all once more.
Cook for another 15-20 minutes.
During that last hour, cook your biscuits.
Once ready, grab a couple biscuits, cover them with your chicken soup and enjoy!
Note: The original recipe I found was classic chicken and dumplings, but I didn't love how the dumplings cooked so I remixed it.
