Older women likewise are to be reverent in behavior, not slanderers or slaves to much wine. They are to teach what is good, and so train the young women to love their husbands and children, to be self-controlled, pure, working at home, kind, and submissive to their own husbands, that the word of God may not be reviled. | Titus 2:3-5 ESV
So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God. | 1 Corinthians 10:31
In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven. | Matthew 5:16
A wife of noble character who can find?
She is worth far more than rubies. | Proverbs 31:10
Statement of Faith:
The purpose of this ministry is to glorify God by encouraging women to store God’s Word in their heart, to understand more of Who He is, and to exemplify Christ in their daily lives, through consistent Christian living by its contributors, and by providing biblically-based resources (Ephesians 1:5-14; Colossians 1:9-10; Matthew 5:16; 1 Peter 2:9-12).
We accept the scriptures as our only authority in matters of faith and practice and our interpretation of Bible doctrine leads us irrevocably
to believe:
The scriptures of the Old and New Testament as being verbally inspired by God and inerrant and infallible in the original writings, and that they are of supreme and final authority and are sufficient for guiding us to live holy lives.
In one God eternally existing in one essence, yet co-equal persons, the Trinity: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
That Jesus Christ was the begotten Son of God, conceived by the Holy Spirit and born to the virgin Mary. Fully God and fully man.
In the Holy Spirit, the third person of the Trinity, who convicts the world of sin, righteousness and judgment. He is the life of the believer and He empowers the preaching and teaching of the Gospel, as well as the One who takes part in our sanctification.
That mankind was created in the image of God, sinned, and thereby incurred not only physical death, but spiritual death, which is separation from God, and that human beings are born with a sinful nature.
That the Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures as a substitutionary sacrifice, and that all who believe in Him are justified on the basis of His shed blood. We are saved through belief in Christ alone, not on the basis of works.
In the resurrection of the crucified body of our Lord, His ascension into heaven and His present life there as High Priest and Advocate for us.
In the blessed hope, which is the personal, visible and imminent return of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
That all who receive by faith the Lord Jesus Christ are born again by the Holy Spirit and thereby become children of God and heirs of eternal life.
In the existence of the devil, who is still working in the world to destroy the souls of men and that he and all his angels and all who do not receive Christ as their personal Savior will eternally perish in hell/total separation from God .
In the Church, both local (small church congregations) and global (believers as a whole), who seek to share the gospel and encourage the spiritual growth of fellow believers.
That the Bible calls men alone to be pastors and leaders of the church, but that women still play an important role in the furtherance of the kingdom of God through mutual encouragement and teaching of other women.
That, in the beginning, God created man and woman, two genders, and marriage should only be between one man and one woman.
That all life is valuable and precious in the eyes of the Lord, and life begins at conception.
It is also important to note that people may hold different opinions on some of these points mentioned in the SOF. The Creators even have differing opinions on women in leadership. Rather than be a divided body, we strongly urge you ladies to study the Word of God. Seek His face and see what Scripture says about the subject. Posts may contain our opinions, and that is something to consider. Audrey and Isabel are not teachers, but rather are learning along with you ladies. We may be wrong about some things, but we also may be right. We are all seeking truth, and the only way to truly seek truth is to study God’s Word.
